The Owner

Dale Hodge started helping his father in the business of automotive repair at the tender age of 11. By the age of 14 he was doing part time in his father's garage for pay. At 17 he went to work for Clearwater Automotive. At 24 he started D&D Automotive after the failure of Clearwater Automotive.

The Business

D&D Automotive opened in February 1983 to continue providing for the customers after the failure of Clearwater Automotive. The shop was located in what was previously the body shop of Clearwater Automotive, hence the somewhat unusual location in the alley behind main street. It remained there until December 2024 when it moved to it's present location, 5 miles north of Clearwater at the corner of 135th St W and 63rd St S.
